RULES
How the mint works.
The rules of the DogCity mint in one page. The same text as section 7 of the docs.
Every lot in the registry becomes an Ordinal on Bitcoin L1: a deed, inscribed as a child of the City Charter, the map that parents the whole city. The deed draws the lot as a surveyor's plat, with its corners, its area and the Merkle proof that ties it to the registry. It carries no owner data. No deed has been inscribed yet.
01When it opens
The mint is triggered by the construction fund, not by a date. Call B the block in which the fund reaches 10,000,000 $DOG. Every phase is counted in blocks from B (144 blocks is about one day), and the calendar is inscribed on chain once B is known.
Closed, B to B+288 (about 48 hours).
Nobody mints. The Founder list is cut at block B, every contribution confirmed up to and including that block. At B+6, once B has six confirmations, the mint calendar is inscribed and the Founder list is published here for review. About 24 hours later, around B+144, the root of the list is inscribed, a full day before the Founder phase opens at B+288.
Founder, B+288 to B+720 (about 3 days).
Every Founder mints the lot their wallet holds in the registry, free: only the Bitcoin network fee and the 546 sats that carry the inscription. A Founder who has not minted yet keeps that right, free, until the end of the Whitelist phase.
Whitelist, B+720 to B+3,744 (about 21 days).
Every wallet with a lot in the registry mints its own lot at half the price that lot will have in the Public phase, from US$1, plus the network fee and postage.
Partners, B+3,744 to B+4,032 (about 48 hours).
Holders of partner collections mint any unclaimed lot at the midpoint between its Whitelist and Public price, from US$1.50. In the same window, a Founder whose wallet has no lot, and who contributed more than 592.22 $DOG, picks an unclaimed lot: free up to a US$10 lot at that price, paying only the difference above that.
Public, from B+4,032 until every lot is minted.
Anyone mints any unclaimed lot at its price on the lot ruler below, from US$2 to about US$200, in the order payments confirm, up to 10 lots per wallet every 144 blocks.
02How a lot is priced
Every lot has its own price, set by two things printed on its deed: its tier and its area. A higher tier pays more, and a bigger lot pays more, though not in the same proportion as its area.
price (US$) = 10 × 1.2(6 − tier) × √(area ÷ 1,041 m²), rounded to the dollar, never below US$2
The anchor is a typical Diamond Paws lot, tier 6 and 1,041 m², at US$10. Each tier up multiplies the price by 1.2, and doubling the area multiplies it by 1.41. Across the city that puts lots between US$2 and about US$200: a typical DOG Soldier lot costs US$3 and a typical Satoshi Visionary lot US$43. The price of every lot is fixed in a list sealed with the city, and the mint charges from that list.
That is the Public price. In the Whitelist the owner pays half: the same ruler with a US$5 anchor and a US$1 floor, so a lot costs from US$1 up to about US$100 there. Holders of partner collections pay the midpoint between the two, in half dollars, from US$1.50 up to about US$150. Founders still mint their own lot free.

03Your lot, and what happens if you do not claim it
Where a wallet lives is set by its own history at block 966,670, and no contribution and no draw moves it. That lot is reserved for that wallet through the Founder and Whitelist phases, about 24 days from the day the mint opens. A lot its owner leaves unclaimed by then goes on sale in the Partners and Public phases, and whoever mints it holds the deed.
A minted deed is transferable: whoever holds the inscription holds the lot, and it can be sold. The building licence and the items stay with the wallet that earned them. For each lot, the first valid deed is the only one that counts, and the project never inscribes a second one.
Three kinds of lot never go on sale. Lots of exchanges and custodians in the Financial District are held for the company until it proves it controls the address. The 698 project lots stay as the Project Reserve. And a headstone mints its lot in Ring 2 at a future block, never in Ring 1 (section 3 of the docs).
04What the deed shows
Every deed is drawn by the same renderer, inscribed once and shared by all of them; each deed adds only the data of its own lot and, in its metadata, the Merkle proof that ties that lot, corner by corner, to the root of the city's lot map printed in its stamp. On the sheet:
The lot as a plat.
Its four corners, A to D, with coordinates to the centimetre, its area and frontage, and the bearing its front faces, drawn over the neighbouring lots, blocks, water and parks of the city map.
Its street.
Rings run from R1 at the plaza to R27, avenues read like a clock from A1 to A12 (A12 points north), smaller radials are hour.number (3.07), lanes inside a block are L, the block and the lane (L2952.1), the two lake roads are LK1 and LK2, the ring avenue of the Spit is AN7, the bay road is SHORE and the quays are QUAY. The deed names the road in front of the lot. When the front looks onto water, a park or the plaza, it names the road you arrive by and the side of the lot it touches, for example ACCESS FROM 3.13, SIDE D-A.
Its tier and district.
The tier by name with its rung on the ladder (TIER 5 OF 13), or Company or Project Reserve, and the district the lot sits in.
Its mint phase.
Read from the block in which the deed was inscribed, against the calendar inscribed on chain. A Founder who mints during the Whitelist phase sees WHITELIST: the Founder right is proven by the Founder inscription, not by this line.
Its stamp.
The city version, dogcity-966670-v1, and the root of the lot map the proof leads to. Only the first valid deed for each lot counts.

05Paying
Prices are set in US dollars and paid in BTC only. The dollar price is converted at the median of Kraken, Coinbase and Bitstamp when the order is placed, and that amount holds for 15 minutes. You pay one exact amount to an address that accepts only that deed, and the deed is delivered to your ordinals address. When a lot is yours by right, its deed always goes to the address that holds that right, so no signature is needed; you sign a message that moves no funds only to send a deed to another address, or to use a Partner or Founder credit on a lot you choose. That amount includes the network fee of your own deed, at the fast rate of the moment plus 1 sat/vB, never below 2 sat/vB. If the network fee climbs above 5 sat/vB the mint pauses by itself and resumes when it falls; the calendar keeps running. An order already paid when the mint pauses keeps its lot and waits up to 72 hours; if the fee has not come down by then, it is refunded. Every refund goes back to the address that paid. Orders for a phase close 6 blocks before the phase ends.
The only place to mint is mint.dogcity.space. A mint anywhere else is a scam. The only transaction you ever send is the payment to the address shown on mint.dogcity.space, and no one from the project will ever ask for your seed phrase or for you to sign a transaction someone else built.
The rest of the rules (the snapshot, how land follows the coins, the Financial District and the Founders Program) are in the DogCity docs.
